Mr huds I am all set up with contractor relations and the load board. I decided to deadhead home late this afternoon since there were no loads being offered. I have never been leased to a company before I have only ran under my own authority so this is all new to me. I have talked to many Mercer drivers on the road and everyone I have talked to spoke very highly of Mercer. I guess I just don't understand why I see all these loads on the load board but I am not getting offered any loads and my coordinator doesn't call me on anything. I will see what next week brings. I tried to PM you back but I don't have enough post to do so. Thank you for your help!

It is my understanding that you can pick a load straight from the load board with out the coordinator being to much involved. Im not 100% sure on this as I start orientation on Wednesday. But it is also my understanding that you need to call the agent on the load you are looking at. Someone please correct me if I am wrong

yep, you see aload you like, click it on, at the bottom of that page is where you can commit to it and try to get it. where did you deadhead from? maybe vanqtransport could help you.
bigred1978 Thanks this. -
exactly how long have you been at mercer?
-
3 days! What difference does it make? How long do you think someone needs to learn this complicated system of first in first out, or what lanes to run?

No problem I'll help!!
Jtrk, if your seeing loads but not being matched/offered any, call your coordinator and have your preferences changed. Tell them to open them up so you match to everything you are able to haul, within whatever radius you are willing to deadhead to. By doing this you will also see what position you are!jtrk Thanks this. -
You might see a lot of loads, but your coordinator may see that you have no shot at getting them due to your position. Have them change your preferences.jtrk Thanks this.

I choked on my soda when I read this. If Mercer doubled their capacity they would need to double their amount of freight! How are they going to compete and get that freight Mr Economics Major? So if they flood your favorite market with trucks, your saying nothing will happen to rates, not even a tenth of a cent? And the sad part is someone actually thanked you!!Truckin Juggalo, sydsdriver and kjoseph Thank this.
