Are we a bad trucking company?

Are you a geneticist or anthropologist?

 

Too many red flags. No good experienced driver I know would go for this.

This company is doomed to fail.

Let me guess whats next for them....
1. DOT Audits them
2. DOT explains to them that they will be back to check up on them in 30 days.
3. DOT stops at the door turns around and says "unless you get E-Logs"
4. They throw money at peoplenet or qualcomm because they want rid of the DOT audits.
5. Explain to the drivers that they are trying to clean up their safety record and they are now running legit HOS.
6. Drivers see an end to what little money they are already making and quit.
7. Company keeps their escrow, last pay, and mis-reports their earnings to the social security department.
8. Company blames drivers for all their woes and opens under a new name.
9. Go back to step 1.

 

So you don't mind getting paid every two weeks but are complaining about two weeks on hold then getting paid every week? So what's your point?

 

.... In case some of you don't realize
Any company that holds two weeks back means that the you won't see a check until the third Friday
(that's 3 weeks in the red).... Not to mention they are also drawing interest off your $, let's say they have 150 drivers times two weeks worth of wages each.... Hmmmm that's alot of doe
And then they have the nerve to ask for an escrow?
.....really?
And then ask " are we a bad company"?
..... Am I missing something or is this a guilty fish trying to see what's in the water with them?
Hmmm" what is that smell"?

 

Simply put, the company is using the escrow because it's most likely experiencing cash flow problems. .40-.42 cpm and no benefits? That's a bottom feeder package. And I'm not even going to mention the CSA scores.

That being said, the OP seems very genuine and most likely would be a good person to work with. I just don't think the entire compensation package would make any credible driver sign on the dotted line. Just my opinion.

I will put this nicely. I have not drivin OTR in 9 yrs and if you know anything this day in age it is VERY hard to find a company that will look at your life experience not just your recent. With this said if you contacted me with a job offer I would politely not accept.

 

They way i see it with any trucking company if they need to hold a check for 2 weeks that tells me Drivers are floating the company. I was authorized to work for a company last week went to orientation had me read what "other" new hires ask whens pay day 3rd Friday. How the hell is one to live for 3 weeks with no check. Said nope.
