Read the threads. Most of us don't know a lot about the van division. What I do know is from a few friends that joined it and after a bit of readjustment are loving it. Oh and I'm sure someone will tell you to go flats.

i do vans but only on my first week here and don't feel i should be saying how it is. As i have not gotten a good handle on it

Well you're facts are not my facts, cause fact is I have had no problem averaging over two bucks a mile, all miles. Sure it's not as easy as it was last year, but I'm still doing it. And so are many others.
What I don't understand is, if you are so unhappy, and unable to make money, why are you still here? -
Well guess this load has a lumper fee of $120+ I really wish I was told this. I do not think I'll be pulling loads again for this person

You pull a van. You are gonna have to deal with lumpers every so often. It's just party of vans. don't like lumpers then park that van and get a flat.
I'm sure you will be reimbursed for it. Just communicate this stuff with your coordinator. -
Were you not able to unload it yourself. When I was local and had to deliver to docks we had to lump it ourselves full truckload.
