It seems to me A/C's are somewhat luck of the draw. i.e.- a good 8,000 btu may cool better than a poor 12,000 btu.
Your Honda 3000 should have no trouble kicking the compressor on, even on eco-throttle, but you may need to put a larger capacitor in. I could not find a spec on your Frigidaire, but you can probably just pull it out and find a larger one at home store to work.
I had to put a Supco SPP6 on my old AC. This Mach 8 is working fine out of the box.
mid-90's today and keeping truck under 70 easily on low cool.

Freightliner doors (Columbia, Century and Coronado) are angled down on the bottom. So the legs on the stand were designed to be in the driver side window only,. as one is longer than the other. While it could probably work in the passenger side,.. the window would have to be rolled up higher to accommodate the longer leg.
The glass from the window will prevent it from falling out. The wings are just there to stabilize it and 'help' keep it from putting too much pressure on the glass. They are not designed as the main support,.. the glass is. And yes,.. the finishing touch for the stand was to put rubber strips on the inside edges that touch the glass and frames of the door.

Reason I have a window AC in the bedroom is that my wife likes the home AC set at 75-ish. Thats her comfort zone or she's too cold. I cant sleep if its too hot,.. so we compromise in the bedroom and I can set the window AC to what ever I want.
Hurstdannythetrucker Thanks this. -

Less than half the cost of a Honda, but does it have the quality,
and might need an external fuel tank. -
Something you may all not realize is that these generators are meant to run at altitudes 2,000 and less. Unlike a real APU it doesn't adjust for higher altitudes. A generator sold in Denver is setup different then a generator sold in Ohio. It has to do with the carb jetting. A real APU has fuel injectors like a truck and a computer adjusts the ratio.

I didn't know that but going into the 5th summer with the little Honda all over the country and no problems.double yellow Thanks this. -
That would su#k having to rejet it, you could buy 2 and link'em together and for the price of a Honda. Hurst has his tray set up like he just stopped at Sonic. I'd see that and hoping there be some food on it.
