@JTT you don't need an approval just make sure it's a approve broker and have the rate con send to your email then foward it to your DM He/She will bill it when they see it.

    Not that I'm aware of

Either your OM, if you're have a good relationship (i.e. basically, if you can get him/her to work from home :) ) or the weekend OM can do it.

I wouldn't just go "on the fly" unless you are willing to assume the risks of something going wrong. Ideally, drivers would be equipped to handle any and all difficulties that exist out there, but that's not always the case.

    fr8monkey and JTT Thank this.

I just picked up a load from Atlanta,Ga going to Orlando,Fl today and and from week most of my loads I got then late when he left and in the morning he's like Good job and he just put it in the system. My previous company I used to do the same thing.Remember we are independent not company driver so we make all the decisions.Never you sit waiting on them from you got rate con start running. If the wheels ain't turning you ain't earning...

We used to be able to book our own loads at my company. Procedure was to line up the load and have the rate con sent to both my email and the company's email so they could generate a manifest number. However, they did say if we booked a load after hours or the weekend, just get the rate con and run it and first thing the next business day make sure to get the manifest number which has to be on the logbook legally. Most guys would just look on the BOL for a random set of numbers and copy it on their logs in case DOT was looking to compare, then when they got the real manifest number, go back and make it look like they had it all along.

So I book a load get the email and forward it (once my DM let's me know his email) and when he's not there who dispatches me on the qcomm and turns on the fuel card if I need it? The weekend OM can do it all?

    LSBroker Thanks this.
