hi all right now i run otr for prime have been for bout year and a half. Been making decent money as lease. Ive been doing reserch around home ie buffalo ny and a rew places i can lease onto with a older truck.. Im thinking buying a older truck (1994-2000) ish. I am me mechanically inclined so most repairs are no problem. Buying this truck then doing strictly short runs 1000 miles or less. Anyone doing this? Thanks tim

Im looking at a 1988 cab over freightliner guy wants 5000 been overhauled needs tires and brakes but if im doing less than 2000 miles a week i think that should work

Just depends on what your going to do with it. If it has a small motor and you pull heavy loads it may not last long.

"Starting on August 1st, 2017, all new trucks will have to be equipped with federally approved anti-rollover measures. This applies only to trucks and buses with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds."
Old trucks are a bad investment it looks like....oh oh -
Why would that be?
