Who was the company that did this?

Also, I think G.Anthony is right....for all the crap Swift drivers take from other company's drivers , you don't hear their drivers complaining about Swift too much. It may be just right for you.

    ertn and unholy7 Thank this.

Not Carolina Cargo that hires felons etc. and pay .10 a mile last I heard...I live near where they are based.

Yes they pay .22 cpm split, but still can make over $800.00 weekly. That type trucking isn't for everyone, but they do give drivers a second chance when other companies won't. I'm a fan of Carolina Cargo because of the 2nd chance policy.

With any bottom feeder (Swift, Werner, etc...) there will be a high percentage that don't survive, for many reasons.

But even with Swift, you have to be able to drive the truck safely.
Swift's road test is pretty basic and simple. You pull out of the terminal and drive around the block.
There will be one turn that will be more difficult. Mine was the last right hand turn and it was to a narrow road. If there was traffic on the road you would have to wait to make the turn until it was clear, or you would curb the tandems. That means cars behind you wait as well - but be patient.
Then once back in the terminal you would back in to a spot between 2 trailers. It will usually be a bit tight, and you are expected to Get Out And LOOK at least a couple times.

If you don't have enough 'polish', maybe you need to go back to your school for a little extra practice in your weak areas.

Personally, I am not looking forward to meeting you on the road - especially if you are backing in to the spot next to me.
    Why?
Because you barely made it and failed to get hired because you are not skilled enough, and now you want to find a company that will cut you the slack in spite of that.
You sound like an accident waiting to happen.

I graduated from a trucking school on the 3rd of this month. Got a CDL. Spent the last week trying to figure out who to get started with. Not easy. Schneider are offering me a sign on and training down in Fontana, CA. However if they plan to send home half of the class then what's the point? Will be a big waste of time if they decide I can't cut it.

Will you stop with Carolina Cargo?? My god it's 10 cents a mile and geared toward felons.
