Yawn that day you go back to work after a week. Next time I'm booking a load for mid morning. So I can sleep in. Overhead was done they said it was 3m off not sure if that's a lot or not.

Lol the first day back is the worst. I always try to book an easy load out of the house. I am lucky if I can drive 250 miles that first day.

It costs me approximately $100/day to sit, which I don't mind doing when there are two loads and all things being equal aside from the deadhead. I also get bored very easily, but I do go golfing or watch TV when I have down time. I look at its gonna cost me $100 plus whatever it costs to go do what I want that day, or I can drive which I love to do and it costs me whatever to d/h. Either way I'm spending the money. I don't just d/h for the hell of it, it has to be worth it to me, but I tend to find there is usually a load or two worth the deadhead.

Ok hey thanks for responding Taxihacker yeah I was talking to Chris Swank and Vince Grogan about possibly signing on they seem to think we can make it work my biggest concern is getting home to NS I don't really want to make a switch but I am having such trouble getting home it has been a problem for the last year and a half im with landstar now for 2.5 yrs I like the independence but mercer seems to be so much more interested in the drivers and keeping them happy.Idont have much deck experience just moved loaders and escavators for a small construction company in NS years ago b4 I went otr so I need training but mercer said they would help me out and they also said that mercer drivers are a odd creature as they usually help eachother out which would be a switch.LOL.You all seem to be so much more human than what I am use to.Vince also was saying something about a program called Impact that covers you for breakdowns something about paying back the cost of repairs over six months or something like that is this true?if so wow.....that could be helpful. Also I was wondering if you know if there are any loads going to vwestern Canada or does everything go to Ontario I would appreciate any more info til then be safe all the best!!

It takes a lot to get axel weights off on a spread. It can be done, but with a 10'02" spread you really have to try hard to be over.
