It's pretty low. I think they said you start out at .31cpm. They also promise you sign on bonuses etc.

I leave for Chicago on 8/23 for Scneiders Intermodal. I will be working out of Worcester MA. The starting pay is .34 per mile plus $30 per load. Average miles per week is 2,200-2,500. My home time will be Sunday and Monday and leave at 6am on Tuesday. I also have to note that I will be home sometime on Saturday. A friend of mine is working there and he has confirmed what I was told and what the recruiter has put in writing. The best part is they fly you to orientation NO GREYHOUND!!! lol

Mine never mentioned flying and I live 900+ miles away. Wanted me to take greyhound. Ended up not going with Schneider. Wasn't getting all the information and felt 2 weeks of classroom training is wasting time since I feel the best way to learn is by doing the work on the road. Just my opinion.

I think the first week is orientation. The second week is on the road and the third is intermodal training.

Depends, if you're a new driver they will probably have you training for a month. Two weeks will be with trainers. For experienced guys it just depends on how you're doing. Pay with performance bonuses will be 33 CPM and 35 a load to start, I think detention is 20 an hour, mt move's 15 bucks, hazmat adds an extra 10 to the load and then there are some other conditional pay things for loads over a certain number of miles. Get in good with you're dispatcher because that person will play a huge role in how much money you make.

Really? They are doing performance pay on Intermodal? I dealt with that when I was OTR when I worked for Schneider years ago I can't imagine the point of having a fuel bonus is your local. Safety bonus sure everything else not so much.

I never said anything about fuel bonuses or any bonus for that matter. I simply said I'm starting at .34 per mile and $30 per container. I will be doing Northeast Regional.

I was responding to Winbot since he mentioned it I wasn't singling you out. I missed the part where you did state that you were going to work out of Worchester which the op was asking about though.

Nice, they are finally senting intermodal student to chicago for training. That's a new thing. Over here its starting 43cpm with performance pay and yes fuel is part of it. I believe can earn up to 47cpm. Maybe over on ur side the performance are different, but it shouldn't be hard to keep it up, it's basically don't get in an accident, show up to work and don't brake too hard

    T_Bone Thanks this.

    Now if u do the match .43 X 250 = 107.50
    .34 x 250 = 85+30 = 115

Another reason why CPM doesn't matter much
