Ok, I probably don't have much of a b itch because our national accout is with P/FJ, but I do stop in Loves quite a bit for a break, food, bathrooms, and of course it is the only major chain that has real Lipton tea bags, not those foo,foo herbal things, "Don't ask, it's a northeast thing"

Anyway, I have noticed these new fuel islands marked Tire Pass, can someone explain to me what that is all about, I'm sure thee has to be an extra charge in there somewhere, what's next a Squeege and Bucket Pass, or maybe a Check you oil paper towel pass?

I still remember a lot ofplaces that when you topped off you got a meal, then it became, a coffe/soda, now you gets points.

Dont ever get old, it just pisses you off!

Funny about the Lipton! As for Tire Pass, Love's has started a service where they have a tire technician check/adjust the inflation and wear of all your tires, supposed to be able to do this all in the time it takes you to fuel up. This is of course an effort to find tire defects and sell you on a repair, they say they have a computer that can accurately inflate tires even when hot from just coming off the road. I'm still skeptical.

Number one I agree with you on the getting older. Number two I do not think that I would trust a stranger with playing with my tires no matter the reason

Isn't checking your tire pressure part of the job of the driver? Oh, that's right, they don't train drivers any more, they train CDL licensed steering wheel holders. Pretty soon, for an additional charge, the "technicians" will do everything but drive for you....you won't ever have to get out of your truck (except to pee on your neighbors tires). They'll fuel it, wash the windows, even bring you that supersized combo meal...geeez

Speaking of this the line you can buy in truck stops to get air from your service line to your tires is a life saver.

Don,t get me started I hired a driver from a mega, lasted 6 weeks before I pulled the plug, I go to pick the truck up from where they parked it, started it up and I notice oil pressure fluctuating, pop hood, down 1 and a half gallons, evidently they can't even check the oil.

Funny you joke about it as what we are headed to, but there USED to be "full service" fuel stops...and they would fuel the truck, wash the windows, and check the oil...all while you went inside and grabbed a bite, called in to dispatch, or touched base with the homefront.
