Bad weeks tend to follow good...keep an eye on the month rather than the week...it's still fun to bang out a big one though

My fleet manage new I would get home late and was going to re-route me. I told him I would gladly take the miles on the trip since I have over 1200 already. He used to be a truck driver and takes after those of us who work and don't give him grief over miles etc etc

I knew what I wanted to do as a second career and here I am. Drawing my retirement plus a paycheck. 20 something years ago I told my wife I would retire when I got complacent stopping cars and it happened. That can be tragic. I did my time had a couple shooting incidents etc. so I really enjoy just driving the roads now not worried about all that other stuff. That's my cliffs notes version. Oh and the pay sucks

Sneakerfix, Ougigoug, truckon and 3 others Thank this.

Since you knew trucking would be your second career you weren't too ticket happy to the truckers then.

Pretty cool you still have your gun belt you can pass it on to your grandkids someday.
