I have a question. Im booked out until wednesday. I found a load that delivers on friday but the trailer says FDW. It says must be 102" wide but why would it say its wide if it's not wider than the trailer? That's a little confusing.

Commit to it If you want it. From my understanding it's prob because some guys still run 96" wide trailers. Width should be 8'6"

That makes sense now . It was just confusing seeing 8.5 wide and it saying it was wide at the same time. I'd really like it but it delivers on long Island on 9/11 and I'd really not like to be in NYC on 9/11

thats tricky. Depending on what it pays and what it is. ( light weight no tarp strap and go) If over 2.00 and over $2000. I'd prob bite the bullet but be careful going to NY cause you either gonna bounce out empty or pull loads staying in the NE. That's been my exp.

already covered, but that NYC load should pay well north of north of 2.00.

Anyone have an tips on securing insulation? It seems like it would be hard to keep the straps tight without damaging the insulation. Would it be worth the extra work just to throw a tarp over it so the wind isn't constantly catching it?

Is it the 8 ft sections? I'd so, put a twist in the strap on each side, two straps per bundle plus make an x at the front and back with two more straps each. Use wide edge protectors. Most places supply or sell two foot wide card board ones. Tighten till that top sheet just starts to squish.
