Thanks for the info? Is that pretty normal for coming out of so Cali?
I live in the area and have been thinking about making the Jump to mercer. Just real nervous about what kind of rates and money I could make as I've seen a lot of guys saying Cali is bad.

Well rates are low/dropping. Of course so is fuel. I won't say that's normal. Many leave with cheap freight. It's a system and you have to learn how to make it work for you. Also when you talk about rates you have to include all factors. Fuel n fuel discounts, insurance and half a dozen things. I saved about $750 a month in insurance alone here. The fuel discount is publicly posted on the website. And it is much better then what my second choice carriers discount was. I know that compared to where I was, with the tools I have, rates are still good.

Hmm, I'm a company guy at the moment pulling tanks mostly hazmat. Make good money around 75k. But I'm getting tired of some the bs politic stuff that goes on. It's a small co about 7 drivers. Thinking about going flatbed or van but have heard flat is better. Figuring my fixed costs to be about 3000-3400 a month.

You know anything about quality co lease? Seems to be decent if you go used. I'm looking at a 2013-14 kw.

No I don't but there is a lot posted in here about them. Have talked about them a lot on this thread and several drivers here have their trucks. Mixed reviews but I'm in no position to talk about them at all.

If you don't mind, and I'm sorry if I'm asking a little to much. But I take it you live in so Cali? How much time you spend on the road and what are you grossing a month or year? Ballpark figure that is.

Well I have a house in Phoenix and Washington. I use SoCal as my spring board in and out. I usually go out for 3 weeks and come home for a week or so. I think I just spent or tied for the longest I've been out at 4.5 weeks. But July was a bad month for me then I went on vacation so I wanted to make up some of what I left on the table.

As for what I gross, I would rather not say. Not because I think it's a big secret but not everyone here makes or even wants to make the same kind of money here and even a GROSS figure becomes very subjective.

Does anyone know if we can split log sleeper time on the e-logs? Need to know fairly quickly. The construction workers went to lunch when they were supposed to unload me. That added an hou . Plus Chicago traffic going in. Then Chicago traffic coming out. It's killed my clock. I'm in Holland Michigan and have to deliver to east Jordan . Have to be there at 8 and I'm 205 miles away with nothing on the clock. It's been one of those days.
