I took my driving test yesterday and PASSED!
    :wav:

I missed 12 points but they said you could miss as many as 45 and still pass............ :biggrin_25522:

I'm glad I passed of course, but you can miss 45? That's a scary thought.......:biggrin_25524:

Sooo.... I lost 2 points for not changing lanes when a bike rider was in the bike lane beside me (it was a HUGE bike lane and he was about 10 feet from the truck so I just slowed a little and watched him).......... I guess I should have moved over and got in the middle lane of downtown with 4:00 traffic bumper to bumper around me ........ okie dokie...... :biggrin_25517:

Lost 2 points for not "looking for a train".......... this one was strange as well since there is a stop sign at the train tracks and cross traffic .... as well as a large steel factory with a parking lot entrance that basically makes the stop a 5 way stop ....... I had to look right and left and sideways at least 6 times before traffic was clear for me to go (traffic was coming from the same way that the train would be coming from of couse) but apparently she thought I did not look specifically at the tracks......... another okay.... :biggrin_25520:

The other 8 were all for having less than perfect downshifting/floating down the gears abilities........I hadn't been in a truck for 3 weeks but I know this is my weak point so I agree with the lady........ I don't grind the gears or anything, it just kinda jerks a little when I go into 4th or 3rd usually........ (I think I take my foot off the accelerator or something...... or maybe put to much pressure on it)....... oh well, that is one of those things that I will get better on with actual driving time....... drove for an hour, probably downshifted (8/7-6-5-4-3) for a light or stop sign at least 30, if not 40 times so ten little dings wasn't bad.......... like I said, didn't grind any gears, didn't miss or lose any, shifted up perfectly........... and I downshifted/floated perfectly 20-30 times, but that is where I need more practice......... :yes2557::biggrin_25525:

No curbs this time........ but there was another fire truck! :biggrin_25521: Was going another direction but it made me laugh........ :biggrin_25523:

Oh........ if you can't tell.......... I got the "picky" lady this time........ I had the "easy" lady the first time but the fire trucks got me so this time I had to have a different tester......... actually, I was just fine with her..... she told me there would be no chatting or talking and she would not answer any questions unless they were specific to the driving instructions ...... she was very by the book, detailed, gave me extremely clear directions with more than adequate time for me to prepare and maneuver in traffic, and asked questions very by the book..... definitely a no-nonsense kinda gal...... I can live with that.......

    Hmmmmmmmm........ now what should I do............... :biggrin_2559: :biggrin_2559: :biggrin_2559:

NOW, you have braggin' rights. :yes2557:
