Well, it's officially no longer summer north of the Mason-Dickson line. Woke up to mid-upper 40's here in Seymour, IN this morning and I am headed to MI next. I am getting this tingling feeling telling me that it may be one of "those" winters this year.

I went home last week for 3 days and managed to still turn in 2900 miles without missing a paycheck. Got a Uxbridge load delivering Wednesday about 515 miles to go. Nice to be getting miles, the week of labor day and week after was kinda slow for me.

It seems as though shipping has gotten their collective s*** together for a while. Had several multi-stop loads lately that picked up on the weekend, all have been ready on or just before the scheduled ready time.
Back haul, for the most part, has been calling before my last delivery like they use to. And miles have been steady, not excessive, but steady.
In fact, the only real issue I am having right now is the confusion about my annual road test being due. My anniversary just passed, but I started asking about getting it done before my last home time...Gene said it isn't due until Oct. But when I came in the last 2 times (before and after home time) Carla has had me go see Gene about getting it done. I finally got Carla to show Gene what she was seeing and to get things on the same page. Last thing I want to have happen is they figure out I really am due, and I am nowhere near GP and get shut down by the system. -
on the road test . Fortunately it was a weekday , i contacted them and
they released me back into the system , kept on running for a few more
weeks ,took care of the test once i got back to Texas. -

I have had a miracle happen to me today. My final stop was a Target D/C...in and out in little over an hour for 11 pallets. My lucky day, can't wait to get back to TX so I can buy my winning lottery ticket (and not pay state taxes when I win)
tucker Thanks this. -

Things must be busy for everyone. A lot of the threads I follow have just come to a sudden stop.
