I send an email about it and got the response of that we can do that at any time we are there in Sapulpa. Which is really cool. Most companies wouldn't allow that. Just go see Brain Ford, Marty Means, or Richard Ates according to the email I got.

It's a great way to 1. Get to really know your DM and 2. Get to see how things really work. You get a whole new respect when you see how many balls they sometimes have in the air at the same time. I think if more places allowed it they would have more patient drivers in dealing with dispatch.

I think the reason is that the others have more to hide from their drivers. Unlike here, where they encourage you to come behind the scenes.

    Kamkor Thanks this.

My next load picks up at Tyson in Seguin, Tx. I did plan on being there by now, but I forgot to set my alarm last night and just woke up. But, no biggie. It has a window that started last night at 2200 and ends today at 1808. I am only a 100 miles from there, so I will just leave this afternoon and go get at the end of the window. Should be ready by then. Also, gives the trailer more time to air out since the last load was those big 2000lbs boxes of pork parts and the trailer had a pool of blood in it. Got it washed out, but you how the smell likes to linger sometimes.

Oh, this load will give me 33,000 miles for the quarter. I'm ready for some hometime, but staying out til Halloween.

Doing my final drop off at Walmart in Casa Grande then doing a local pickup and drop in Tolleson, backed up by a run to Detroit. Downside is the Detroit load wont deliver until Monday, leaving me with 1429 miles for the week, and about a 440 dollar profit according to my spreadsheet estimator. Upshot is it gets me off that late trip turnin cycle i've been on. So it does have a plus side. And starting off the next week with 2000 miles on a Monday is not a bad thing.
