Medley FL. Right there near miami. It says 44,000 pounds. How in the heck do you fit 44,000 pounds of tents on a 48x102. They can't be that heavy

I haven't had to sit anywhere. I've always got a load when I wanted/needed. It may not have been the one I wanted but I still got a load. There is tons of freight in the area you're talking about. The load I have now came out of KY paying $2.00 a mile on 1100 miles. Going to make $1.90 a mile on 1300 miles coming out of florida. Rates are relative. What I may think is good, you may think it's cheap. I try to average making $700 a day to the truck. I've hit that most days. A few days were not close to that because I put myself in a bad area with nothing coming out. It is what you make it. If you're smart and have a coordinator like the one I have that understands what you're trying to do then that helps a lot. He knows not to call me on Wednesday offering me a load picking up in KY going north unless it pays very well. He knows I'm home on the weekends u less I decide to stay out on the weekends my wife has to work.

That's moot anyways because you can choose your own loads but its nice having someone constantly looking for you and knowing what you're looking for instead of offering you anything and everything

    sawmiller Thanks this.

At the time, it was the only load within 400 miles. Once I saw the rate I jumped on it. I guess going to nyc beats deadheading 400-500 miles and wasting a day
