LOL, mine are still new in the bag from a few winters ago. Seems it snowed a little in the northeast tonight :(. When I get to NJ I'm heading due south for the winter. Of course I said that when I left Chicago last week. And I know as soon as I see that good paying load I'll be heading north again. Almost time to become a storm chaser.

Unfortunately, if you want to make money in the winter, you gotta stay up north. Everyone flies south, so you are always high on the board. Go up north and you got much less competition. My first January and February here I stayed north of 80 and don't think I was ever higher than 3 on the board.

I stayed north last winter, but we really didn't have much of a winter. No snow out west and I missed the big snows east. But this is "suppose" to be a rough winter out west. A normal wet winter will put 10' of snow on donors easy, a real wet winter can put 20'+. If it's as wet as it's supposed to be it might be hard to get out there anyhow. We will see. It's strange looking at my truck covered in frost this morning. A sign of things to come?

Dude, when I said stay north, I didn't mean that stupid #### out west. I don't go west of 35 unless it pays ridiculously good, ale to bounce back empty and maintain a high$/mile for the whole trip kinda good.

Thanks been coughing up a lung all night. My head hurts and now I'm throwing up. Might cancel my pre plan but don't wanna make agent mad.

Most local guys have experience in otr so once again it boils down to just the fact that we don't sleep in the truck.

When you work 14 hours a day with an hour commute on each end its not like you actually get to see your family anyway.
