The last time you heard from me I was trying to learn how to double clutch. Today I passed my CDL exam mostly due to a patient trainer. I have offers to attend orientation from several companies. These include Western Express, Maverick, MCT, and Paschall. I have researched the forum as much as I can but have still not made a firm decision. I live in western PA and WE would be the closest training to me. They have told me I would most probably be driving regional if I get through orientation ok. The other companies just say to come to orientation ans see what happens. All of them will put me with a trainer for at least a month (I have no experience) then I must pass another driving test then first seat. Most offer $100.00 per day for orientation and training. After that WE is the only company who have related hard numbers to me. If anyone has suggestions as to my next step I am all ears. Thanks
PS. My training was excellent. I don't want to break any rules and give the details but anyone in my area looking for a school please PM me.

    Nik2015 Thanks this.

Out of the choices you have, I'd pick Maverick. Better pay, equipment, and company.

congrats on passing your exam. What hard numbers did western give you?You won't be making the big bucks with any starter company,if that was the case they wouldn't have such a high turn over rate. The companies you mentioned EXCEPT MAVERICK have a pretty bad reputation. So when looking for a company you should apply to the ones that don't have so many negative reviews.

With Paschall you will go out with a trainer, then test out, and then move on to 'Phase 2' training, where you team drive with another student for 80k miles each (6+ months).

Out of those choices I would pick maverick. But training is in little rock, ar and expect to be gone for 6 weeks strange. It's pretty rough if you're not use to a day off sometimes

WE told me $800.00 for 1800 miles then .50 after that. Average is 2200 miles per week.

Requiter says I will go to Fargo. Why would I be shuttled to Little Rock? Now I'm really confused.
