I ran reefer LTL out of the LAX area to the east coast and all points in between
( including NYC) for 4 years and never came close to splitting a log .
Since being with Poly Ive had to split it on several occasions to rescue loads
for these knuckleheads. Poly has become legendary for its equipment failures.
The Cali place was very conscious of not getting us in the position of having to interrupt our 10 . They had a massive accident right about the time i started there and walked on eggs as far as safety went . ( They ultimately lost the suit and went out of business )
I was thinking SSB load was a special circumstance because they need to get him home
and not a regular occurrence

If these folks at Maxton don't soon hurry up I'm gonna be skipping a lil bit to my housencmickey Thanks this. -
In the year and a half I have been with Magnum, I have had to do the 8-2 split 2x.
I have gotten to the receiver, parked in the street or near by, gotten a few hrs sleep, delivered at 3am, then went back to sleep... But on most of those occasions I was able to get longer than a 10 hr break if needed...Loanerdude and Winnyf1 Thank this. -
Splitting sleeper is rare and driving overnight is something that for me happens about 20-30% of the time. Really not that big a deal...Loanerdude Thanks this. -
I hardly ever drive overnight... But I do a lot of starts at 3-4 am... Just my preference.... Maybe 1/2 dozen times have I had to drive all night.... I've driven into the night, or started super early... But rarely all night
But I am always willing if neededLoanerdude, Ordy19 and Rock6531 Thank this. -

I found out these '16 Pete's do the same thing as a Cascadia when you use the Jake...the brake lights come on. Came down Monteagle, all the way down, my brake lights were on, but I never touched the pedal. As soon as I got to the bottom resumed cruise, brake lights went out

Magnum surprised me again. Even though orientation went beyond the payroll cutoff...I still got paid for it this week along with my Hazmat reimbursement.
I looked on the employee side of our website for the trips I just ran since leaving Fargo. Some say approved, some say unapproved...whatsup with that?
