Inverter is changing. All the new 2016 are coming with a 1200 watt factory installed. They are also testing this ECO thing that will start the truck automatically when the batteries run down and when the outside temps get too high or low.

Works fine in my Cascadia. Truck starts up fine in the morning and my food is still cold.
-
sounds like a terrible feature if you're trying to sleep.. occasionally my truck wouldn't idle the entire night because the regen would shut it down and the shaking would always wake me up.
-
Optimized idle. Company bought 200 test units.
-
It is actually a great feature, it isn't a 2007 century, they start up and you can barely feel it.
-
That's great news! Now if they install the fridge for you guys the trucks will be all set. Still though, one can get by with a cooler. But since I've experienced a real built in fridge, it's become a requirement for me now.Home_on_wheels and CaptainDaveG Thank this.

I know that's right. Since I bought mine a year or so ago, I wouldn't want to be in a truck without it or one being in there already.
-
And the ice-cream bars in the summer. Don't forget about those.

The fact my 2016 didn't come with an inverter begs the question, Is this another Eastern/Mid-Western centric decision from GB that leaves the Western regional suckling hind teat? I guess the rational might be that there is no longer a viable maintenance department capable of servicing these units in-house.
As for the op...my advice comes from Mr. Blutarsky. Regarding life as a driver for Schneider, "My advice to you is to start drinking heavily."Last edited: Dec 19, 2015
