I used to be Con-way, or XPO, or whatever they're calling it this week.
-
I pull doubles, rocky mountain doubles, and even triples for local P&D. My delivery and pickup area is over 50 miles from my barn.
If you ever get a chance to do it, you better know where the hell you are going and what you are doing. If you find yourself lost with triples, it can easily end up with you breaking your entire set in the worst possible area (on a public roadway with you blocking the flow of traffic)Rocks, Shaggy, crazeydude and 2 others Thank this. -
Many states restrict triples except on designated roads.
-
Triples aren't even legal in MD.
The nearest states that are legal for triples are Ohio and New York, and IIRC they're only legal on the toll roads. -
LOL... was that how you unloaded that loadGoldenLad Thanks this.
-
OH/IN only states east of the Mississippi w/triples and only on turnpike/tollroad.....NY/MA allow 48/53 doubles also only on tollroad....Last edited by a moderator: Dec 2, 2017
Reason for edit: Fixed quote -
Triples are legal in four or five states. I am allowed to pull them up to two miles off of the interstate where I live. Just far enough to get me to my drop lot
-
Triple trailers are only allowed on the Ohio Turnpike. They are not allowed on the New York State Thruway.

Hmmm... It appears you're right.
Now there's a head scratcher. Why would New York allow turnpike doubles, but not triples?
Bob Dobalina Thanks this.
