5 hrs to get unloaded today in OKC... 3 hr deadhead to my pickup...
Of course I was late and became a work in.... Made it to the truck stop to fuel and weight with 1 hr left on the clock....
Of course now I can't make my Friday 0500 in time...

But the bright spots would be I made some extra jack in detention...
I may get a night or two at home if I can't deliver and/or reload on Friday
My bunk heater just started working again... Just now... Turned on the APU to cook dinner in the micro and thing started pumping hot air... Funny thing is I don't even need it tonight... Not that cold....

Eat, sleep, coffee, hammer down for NC

    Ordy19 and mxpx148 Thank this.

Dude that's what happens when you get all those big back to backs :). Hope the rest of the trip goes well, heading to MN so I will be needing my bunk heater...

I guess I'm getting lucky in the unload department. On the way to deliver in GP, my next load came with a comment that if I didn't think I could pick up by 1400 today to let Matt know and he would warn the shipper. I had an 830 unload in Grand Prairie, and a 1400 pickup in Tulsa. I got to GP at 745, was rolling up the road by 830 and got to Tulsa before 1330, was loaded and rolling by 1500.

I decided since it was a tight schedule, and rush hour around the DFW area hadn't wrapped up that I would utilize the toll system to get out of there... Mother of Pearl, why don't most companies allow use of those roads. Other than going thru interchange ramps, I never lifted my foot off the floor. That has to me the quickest I have ever gotten out of DFW, regardless of the time of day.

Unloaded in like 20 mins today at preferred freezer and loaded at coke in des plains in like 40 mins. Chicago was good to me today. Been running off recap. I get 2 good back to back days of recap but gonna need a reset soon. Maybe I'll get a long load over the weekend and squeeze one in. Delivering at Coke in Eagan tomorrow and 10. Was gonna scoot over there early but I'm whooped. Prolly get there an hour early. Wake up and shower and roll. Last time there I got 4 hours detention.

Got the last spot at a pilot that is 9.7 miles away. Well there would be no spots but so many trucks didn't wanna back into it. Backing is getting better. Not going to if I pull on the no parking curb like the people in front of me.

Nice, I wish my bunk heater would magically kick on. Never had an issue with the 15. Checked fuses today on the 14 and no luck. But hitting 65 MPH alot is nice.

Must be something in the water, drove out of the port of Baltimore, through the tunnel and out of town. Got pulled in to weigh in Maryland and at 79,500 got a green light. No traffic and even got a pass by a trooper when I was 5 over coming down a hill. In the famous words of Ice Cube, "Today was a good day..."
