I don't know the specifics but ANY trucking you do isn't free when you take time off...if the wheels ain't turning you're not making money...insurance is an everyday coverage so even tho you're vacationing in Panama for a week or whatever you're still accumulating bills on that truck.

Not sure about LS but mercer would just take it out of your next load pay whenever you decided to come back to work

Mercer breaks all coast down to a daily cost. We get paid when we unload. If you 15 days between unloads then you will have 15 days that you will have taken out. Depending on you that can be from a few dollars a day to $50. Every situation is different. But in the last month and a half I have worked about 11 days. We have plenty of guys that just work a few months a year.

So not to be nosy what were your hard expenses for the 34 days off out of that 45. Not counting any loans or trailer rentals .

Well that just leaves insurance I believe. Bobtail $20 a month so like .80¢ ish a day. And truck/trailer. We don't have Qualcomm or anything like that that we have to pay.

With Trailer and all other expenses except truck note it cost me under $35 a day to let my truck sit. With truck note it's just under $100. I know that when I take 2 weeks of I best have about $1500 (some fuel for my apu if I'm not at home to plug the truck in) set aside. But everyone will have different numbers. Mine is high because I just bought a new truck.
