They thought they would be smarter than the industry. I believe the BS now is they are brokering out to companies now and leaving the driver's at Poly stuck with the ######## them outside carriers don't want. They really don't care if the driver's are leaving after 15 and 10 years of service. These ####### have yet to figure out they have the cream of the crop for drivers. I know some people have not had raises their for 10 years if they were not higher on the than a driver level. Like I said, I have never seen anything like this. The Companies attitude is, if you don't like it go somewhere else and we are!!!!!

The lack of raises you mentioned is someone feeding you ########...the drivers went from a flat rate of 48 cpm to 50 cpm last year. No seniority requirements, no production quotas...just every driver in the OTR fleet got a 2 cent raise. And they were talking about trying to get another one pushed through right before I left 2 months ago.

I was breaking down almost every day for 30 minutes for a "Parked System Regen". Southwest International "fixed" the problem several times. Kept recurring until about 2 months ago.

I was towed into an Int'l. in Wisconsin. GOOD NEWS ! That Int'l dealer told me that 2 weeks earlier, International came out with a better diagnostics software program and now they can correctly diagnose the specific problem.

It was a bad D.O.C. (Diesel Oxidation Control). They replaced it and now the truck runse like it's new and hasn't broken down since.

I agree. What I like about Poly is that they don't talk to me. They leave me alone to do my job.

I used to work at Millis and couldn't believe all the drivers who would just sit around talking about how close they were with the dispatchers, not realizing it was the dispatchers job to fool the drivers into thinking the dispatchers care about anything other than covering their loads.

Of course they broker loads out. That's no secret.

Poly is a manufacturing company. They make trash bags under dozens of brand names.

They use trucking companies to haul their product. They created Poly Trucking to haul loads at a cheaper rate than by using contract trucking companies.

To be honest, Although I'm grateful they created Poly Trucking, but they could have just hired JB Hunt or some other company to run the entire shipping dept. and avoid all the headaches of running a trucking company.

I heard they were looking at BEST PASS which is everything combined and covers all states unlike EZPass which doesn't cover all states.

    Hope the rumor is true.

I'm the one who started this thread saying I chose Poly over Wally.

I still think I made the right choice especially now that International just developed better diagnostic software. My truck hasn't broke down since they discovered a bad D.O.C. (Diesel Oxidation Control).

I agree with security at their G.P. headquarters. I once delivered a load of wood to a prison in N. Carolina. It was easier getting into and out of the prison than it is getting into Poly's Grand Prairie Terminal. Too much unnecessary bureacracy when at G.P..

Wal Mart uses E-logs and their driver complain about all the crazy rules that they have to follow.

    Poly doesn't "F" with you.

If poly just made a few simple changes, they could both save money and make the drivers happier than peter pan.
