Seems like January isn't picking up like it's expected. Another load, another wait. Been empty for hours and I get the same thing again...working on it. I was hoping to get the flip out of Michigan before the next round a crap comes blowing thru.

 

Delivered a day early now waiting in Coon Rapids for word. Be nice to get to or swing by Fargo to get my truck.

how come that one driver has 2 weeks of preplans on him and you don't have a load?

 

He was at the right place at the right time, I'm always a day late and a dollar short. Any time I call ahead, I either get voicemail that never gets a return call, or 'we are still trying to get todays drivers a load, we will let you know'

 

Where do we usually head to get a load when we empty in Michigan? Over 5 hrs, no load, no reply to messages and no response to voice mail. I am on the verge of just driving south until they suddenly realize I am almost home.

 

I got a couple calls into Joey too... But for a load on Saturday. He almost always answers and today he hasn't. Must be busy.
From Michigan I have gotten a couple of broker loads, went to Campbell's soup in Napoleon Oh or General Mills in Kalamazoo...
Reading the forums, seems like freight is slow still... Hope it picks up.
I'm in Winston Salem NC now for a delivery tonight, then reload right here tomorrow headed up to Sturtavant WI for a Saturday AM delivery...

 

4 days on a 900 mile 2 pick 4 drop load for me. SSB, I just called Joey and if you are the driver he thinks, the computer shows that you do not have HazMat, or you would have been picking up my next load that I will be late to, so he IS trying!

 

May have been me, I haven't gotten home to get my license yet, have the test passed, background check complete, just got to get home to get the plastic to make it official.

I ended up getting the GM Kalamazoo load to Fridley. Initially he sent me a msg saying I was picking up in Kalamazoo, but no destination. By the time I got the load info message and got to a place to read it, it was too late to check in with MN outbound. Load doesn't pick up until tomorrow afternoon, then doesn't deliver until Saturday mornng. Timed out just right so it really wouldn't help much to drop it in Coon Rapids.
