Nah, against most of the advice here, I put it off for 6 months/50k until the offseason & first overhead... Otherwise it would have been an additional week downtime during peak freight season and while staying in a hotel.

I believe CA has no income tax on Powerball lotto for Californians if the tickets is bought in CA. I bought a couple tickets in Missouri so was thinking of how many millions I would owe California if I won.

And yet a sign I passed today said it was already up to $40M. Maybe they just make the numbers up...

"$40million" (actually worth $24m) is the new powerball minimum...

But if they can stop the treasury from advertising $25 savings bonds as $50, they ought to stop powerball from doing the same...

Its not deception, you get the larger number if taken over time in installments, the ,lump sum payment is less. Clearly stated in the rules

It's common core math. Probably why a pound of coffee is 10.5 oz.
Stop it. You're making too much sense.

Thanks for the great thread, DY. I really appreciate your honesty and skills with a spread sheet. I am understanding the forum makes them unable to be understood. Thats too bad as I can see there is very valuable information there. I started as an independent a year ago in October after nine years leased to a dry bulk carrier. No real complaints there, but wanted to see if I could make it go on my own. Sold the hopper, bought a flat, and here I am. I'm finding as you are, it was much easier last year. I'm still going though, and hope you decide to stay in too. I guess selfishly, as you have been a wealth of information for me. I'm interested in how you do invoicing from your phone. Do you use an app for that, or make them out beforehand, then transfer to it? What do you use for pod? I like the idea of being able to do all billing at the time of delivery. I find I am spending too much time getting that done when I get home. Once again thanks!
