We are not required to use the chains just carry them to be legal. A couple of drivers throw iron from what I hear, I prefer to work with dispatch to reschedule is needed and wait it out.

I'm using beam blades, you know the ones that bow in the middle? So far so good, need to keep the defrost on high though. I'm not sure Magnum would allow it but there are heated blades out there.

Just going with what I was told from an experienced driver and following the directions sent from dispatch for that specific load.

Yep. Don't get lost when they tell you to go get spacers. The map they give you of the place sucks. You'll pick up spacers in an open dock. Some dude will throw them in the back. Don't get lost like me and back into a closed dock door. They weigh you on the way out but won't tell you any weights. Its just so they know youre not over. Scale right down the road from the place.

Pack a lunch and dinner they are slow. In a previous life it took me 4 hours to pickup a preloaded trailer that was actually loaded when I got there.

It might just simply be a request made by the distributor or brewery.

I did a live load and it took them about an hour. It's a busy place.
