That's nothing new. There is a small fleet that came over several years back. They brought their customers and pretty much do their own thing. Occasionally an agent will post a reefer load hoping one of those guys is in the area.

Okay, I went to page 1 and am about to page 20...1 question before I invest anymore time. 1 big thing that turned me off from Landstar was people saying how often loads were double booked or already loaded on another truck when they went to shipper. Is this a problem at Mercer? I have not read that and Mercer does seem to have their shhhtuff together.

    TaylorMade407 and MarkH83 Thank this.

Me and my buddy just discussed this last night. Every load posted on our load board is needing a truck for that load. So for instance the military loads will show 7 loads for a flat, 10 loads for a step and 10 for a RGN. If you see that on the board that means they need all 27 trucks. Agents here don't post the same load. CCC agency and DDD agency won't post duplicate loads. Unless for some reason that I've yet to come across. Xyz logistics has 10 loads and they split em between both agencies because they like em or something then one would post 5 and the other will post 5. And yes mercer trucks are offered the loads before they are brokered to outside carriers

That sounds about right. Lots of us slackers bring that average down. But who cares about gross. The only numbers important to me is net, and days spent at home.
