If you have a newer trailer you are fine. Some of the old trailers were narrower.

    Yes your fine.

When I said "old" I should have said "ancient". LOL

If you pull a flat, you need to have a tape measure.

To answer the question, 102 is rail to rail. If it can fit inside the rails it's legal. On the "ancient" trailers, most are only 96 wide, so if you have a load that's 98 wide, it's oversize and would need permits, but not if you're 102, since it fits inside the trailer.

Ok so I'm watching youtube on how to install one and it looks like some just bolt to the cat walk?

    Is that how Mercers are?

Giant U-bolts. Go around frame rail. Drill holes in cat walk as needed.

This is probably getting annoying to some of you.....but i am still very excited even a day later after setting up my orientation date and running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get everything sorted and ready for the move.

I might have to go visit the wife for a few to get some *tension released*
