Hmm, I guess that explains why I see so many trucks cruisin in the hammer lane so much with no one around.... No ones flashed them over yet...lol.

Germany has this "mindlessness" that you are talking about. When it's snowing or huge rain, they turn on these LED signs into which they can put a picture of a car or truck, depends who is prohibited to pass. It's mostly trucks that are. And so you are stuck behind this fool up front who is going 40-50mph in the right lane and the whole right lane has to follow him.

    Something like this

My favorite are construction zones with signs that read "Trucks use left lane" and some ####### gets on the CB yelling about me driving in the left lane.

Everyone tells everyone how to drive but nobody seems to be able to read a sign anymore.

I guess I've long done forgotten what the purpose of that was since I don't run OTR anymore. Goin thru Sherman Texas down here on 75, they got a "thru traffic keep left" sign. That the same thing in the construction zones in some states?

Yeah, serves a purpose just the same.

I've yet to see the "wait for permission to change lanes" signs yet lol

With quick Google of it, that actually looks somewhat fun.
We're so programmed with right lane that it's hard to break the habit. Hehehe

That last post with the quote from Cassanova cruiser

Brings back memories of the 40 mile construction zone on I-20 east of Birmingham. 10 steep grades trucks left lane for like a decade. I think I drove that completed stretch of highway once before I quit running out that way.
