Not sure. But that's petty if they fired u just one accident.

Get a dash camara. It could of help u.

I got forced off the road by a van and hit a car. Van driver didn't have insurance and fled before the cops came. So technically without proof I sides wipe a car. Company at the time said it was preventable accident. Until I showed them the video.

Marten had a culture of firing drivers and they seem to enjoy it.

However, the only accident I was involved in was when I drove for Marten. I was at a loading dock and in the sleeper when another truck hit my hood. I did not get fired, but I did have to hear, "What did YOU do to your truck?", every time I pulled in to a terminal, until it was fixed.

Even when I took it in for repair, the body shop foreman tried to accuse me of hitting something because the license plate was wrinkled. I told him to go look at the pictures that I sent to safety. After he came back from safety, he wrote up the repair but never apologized for wrongfully accusing me.

You were not cited, fault has not been determined but this could be chargeable /preventable. One in several years? Getting fired is not likely. They won't throw a party.. but firing is a bit remote.

I don't know how they do their investigation but I do know in my heart that I dint hit this guy I don't think we even ran into each other I do not have a single scratch on my truck I was on I80 and have no reason to move over because the other lane is the 680 and that would take me out of route I'm a owner so I stay in route I pay for my fuel don't need to drive more miles I didn't feel nothing but he has a dent on his car I think he lost control hit the wall came at front of me and blame me for it
I show the police his tire tracks all the way from the right lane to the left lane but he didn't care

Yeah, that was "worst case". I think the fact that you didn't deviate from the lane will make in a non-chargeable. but its never a certain thing.

Even with no ticket, you will probably be charged with a preventable accident. Depending on your safety record you could get as little as written up or suspended or if there is alot of damage, termination. Definitely get a dash cam and don't let this event eat you up. It happens out here.

Just because their is no scratch on your truck doesn't mean an accident didn't happen.Did you check your trailer?yoyve been with Martin for seven yrs so i think safety will take that into consideration along with your record since youve been employed there.Màny times companies do blame drivers because companies don't wanna take the time to investigate.Let us know what your safety dept says.
