OK, another question.
Why do companies send you through their school and then do an employer verification after you finish and are on the way to orientation?
makes no sense to me at all. They spend the money to bring you in and you pass and then they do it?
why do they do a background check after you finish school?

Because of the drop outs in school ... no need to do the check on someone who won't be there.

Cost money to do it. So they weed out the people who can't drive

Saw that happen to a guy in orientation. He had 20 years experience and on the last day discovered he had failed a drug test not too long ago. Oops

I worked for one outfit who would hire guys, send them to the main branch for 3 days of safety training and company oreintation ($2k cost per person apparently) but wouldn't road test them until they got back to their home branch. Some guys couldn't even make it out of the yard without missing gears. Made no sense to me to do it that way. If it helps, that company went under a little while back.

No reason for a cdl mill I mean school to do a background check . They could care less if you are employable as long as you complete their school and get that cdl. You now owe them money wether you can get a job or not
RustyBolt, Toomanybikes and Dominick253 Thank this.
