Joining the Navy is a fine idea just don't do anything with airplanes. Hectic schedules and tons of work. Being able to go to school in the military means you need a decent schedule. The Navy is a pretty awesome organization. Sometimes I wish I had walked over and joined when I got out of the Corps.
What's your life like as an OTR trucker?

Alright, I've had enough of all this flip flopping @Lucidd. Here's your career path;
Enlist in the Navy.
Get into BUDS.
Have a fulfilling career in the SEAL teams.
Get out and start driving truck.
Beat the living #### out of every driver at the truck stop claiming to have been a SEAL.
You'd be the biggest hero of truckin' folklore. They'd probably pin a medal on ya. Maybe even put your picture in the paper.Lucidd Thanks this. -

I don't really know if you can truly prepare for BUDS. Not mentally anyway. How high is your pain tolerance? Mine is pretty low. I'm a weenie. Beyond that, lots of running, push ups, pull ups, and core exercises would be my guess.
Back in the early 2000s when Discovery Channel didn't suck, they ran a 6 part series documenting BUDS class 234. It's a great watch and easily found on YouTube. Here's a link to part 1 to get you started.

Really, i'm not planning on going into the SEALS, (most likely not) i think it'll just be a nice challenge for me to start training daily now, especially since i have to get in shape.Last edited: Mar 17, 2016
