They are extremely picky. But on every single one of those picky items, it's something we have been cited for by a dot officer.

As far as peeling paint, that used to be a big deal, but they have lowered their image standards quite a bit. To be certain, once you are approved by recruiting, send them a picture and ask if it's ok or needs painted first.

Elogs... well they are not that bad. Just took a bit of adjusting to. Be prepared to take advantage of the 8/2 split on days you unload and reload.

Not entirely, truck is in the shop.

It started drinking DEF twice as quick a couple of weeks ago, then had some power loss issues last week, only getting 5.5-6.2 mpg all week, and was throwing anywhere from 2-6 check engine codes at any given time. Then, as Murphy would have it, the morning I will be empty and plan on taking it to the shop, the truck made a loud bang as I took off, lunged forward, and suddenly had no power issues, went back to 7.5+ mpg. It sounded like it came from the tranny, like if you barely have it in gear and it pops out, but it felt like a brake was rusted/frozen and broke free.

Either way, when it started having power issues, I quit booking loads. I finished up the loads I was planned on and brought the truck to the shop yesterday.

If it was something major, I was going to fly home while they fixed it, but they aren't sure yet. Checked this morning and they said they "think" it's a wiring harness issue, to stay in the hotel again while they try to track it down for sure. That doesn't sound right to me, but we'll see.

Razor that's why I'll never own a newer truck. Carb even came out and said dpf can decrease engine life.

Man that stinks. Hope it's simple (wiring harness is a mess)

Lol, this come from badluckPete? I got 1.2 mil out of my last DPF motor with no major issues. How far have you gone? Let's find out what is really wrong before we jump all over new vrs old. But here is one thing Pete. He is only paying for his hotel/flight. When your motor blows what are you paying?

Lol good point I think dpf is a hit or miss though. I had one company truck no problem or nothing but problems.
