You that don't know this like the driver above said, many trucks are set up so that unless your brakes are set, your headlights remain ON, yes you can dim them one level down, that's it, that cuts them by about 1/3, that's the way many company trucks are set up. The driver that mentioned leaving your head lights on after you've parked and set your brakes, now that yes pisses all of us off. In the old days you got a few warnings from drivers, if you didn't turn them off, you woke up with hot duct tape stuck to tryout lens. It's rude inconsiderate, and well the question comes about are you afraid of the dark. Afraid someone might back into you? If so leave your park lights on. So can we just be a little kind to each other, might be hard for some, but try it you may just have a better day.

Now I know why I never sleep in a truck stop. Waaay to much drama over things you shouldn't even be thinking twice about

Parked at a Pilot last night and saw a truck with its lights on way after parking... Was probably like that all night... The lot was well lit so I assume the driver just forget they were on.

But it made me think of this thread and I laughed.

This awful Cascadia has the dash gauges lit up all the time and the headlight switch out of sight behind the steering wheel, and I've parked and let my lights on too, I only know when I open the door and it chimes,
This one time, at a truckstop, a fellow Cascadian had his lights on, I got out to tell him and noticed another Cascadia further away had their lights on too, so I said screw it and didn't tell any of them.
Ugh, and that horn blaring if I open the door with the parking brake released...

These drivers today... Most of them don't deserve their class A I'd hate to see them running back in the day they wouldn't make it

Drivers when you are parking... Turn on your hazard lights when backing in please do not have your low or high beams on some drivers do not have a sleeper cover

    Nitemare13 and Big_D409 Thank this.

Some drivers don't have AC like company drivers do new driver. If you don't like it then quit find yourself another line of work

Thats right. I dont mind high beam flash during day time but not at night. If any body wants to be nice and signal at night he should jut turn lights off and on

    MachoCyclone and Big_D409 Thank this.
