You go to Denver, you go to Fort Collins next then the Dakotas, 90% of the time.

That McLane is one of the few that unloads early evenings. Give it a shot and check, can't hurt.

@Pigbacon there is a Qt travel plaza on Fulton if it helps never posted here I drive for Ashley furniture but have read this thread from start sounds like a good company so if things go south I'll have a back up plan and lots of dirt pull offs on side of road if you don't mind parking there

Ya, but I started out at .38 cpm. A friend who went to orientation the same week as me has been OTR for 30+ years. Me makes more than me. (He SHOULD) but his raise was less than mine as well. I'm kinda in that wierd place because I was "technically" hired as a "trainee," but I had 10 months OTR experience at the time I was hired, 5 1/2 months ago, so I'm not exactly a total noob either.

Fair warning man, Diaz Foods is the worst receiver I have EVER dealt with. Treats drivers terrible and made me wait over 9 hours AFTER they charged the shipper $150 for an early delivery fee....Get this....After Me and the broker had called them Friday and confirmed the Monday appt.

I will never take another load there. They were that rude and nasty. And I can do rude and nasty and not get too upset, but I was ready to punch someone in the nose before I got out of there, which only happened after I threatened to take their load to the local food bank and cancel the T-check.

As far as parking goes, there's a quick stop right down the road, but it's small. I wouldn't count on it. There is, however, a Pilot/J west of there about 25 miles or so with a decent Mexican restaurant and bar. Also, Diaz opens at I believe 730am (don't quote me, but it should be on the dispatch) DO NOT show up early. The gate will be closed and there is NO WHERE there to really stage that's not fugly. The day I got there, they opened the gate 1/2 hour after the posted time. They have room on the site for about 6 trucks to wait and as I recall, only 3 docks.

I've unloaded at McLanes a number of times, not much room to stage early. In fact, I remember a sign there about alternate staging areas...Walmart across from the entrance of the industrial park and the Flying J. I don't think they unload too early, the times I've been there, I got there an hour or so early, got a door, but it was after my appt before they started. It is one of those places that has to break the seal themselves, and there will be an unload fee as well.
