Been in 2 tornadoes in my life, and seen twin tornadoes on my 13 birthday. Not fun and scary as hell. Does sound like a freight train with sound of baseball size hail hitting all around you.deafening.

 

I use to think that about sink holes too...until one tried to swallow me in a Crete truck leaving a customer. But you may be right, how could God get his jollies torturing me if a tornado took me out. That is unless he just wounds me with one.

 

The Newport shipper was busssssyyyy today. I got there to deliver at 1130, didn't get to a door until 1400 to unload, then stayed at the same door to reload. Ended up leaving just in time for afternoon rush hour. I was hoping to get thru WI before shutting down, but I only managed to make Mauston with 6 min on my 14. Still, with this load, I will only need 1500 or so miles by next Tuesday to top 10k for the month even with home time.

 

Sounds like things are picking up for you, at least a bit. I'm very glad to hear it.

The new pay rate has made an amazing difference to me. 2500 miles a week is a decent paycheck now, at least, and a 2000-mile week sucks, but it's not nearly as bad. 2800+ is just awesome, and I've been getting them pretty consistently for a couple of months now.

Chad TOLD me to refuse loads. "You can't take one for the team every week," -His words, exactly. And while it sounds as though you and I both have the same luck...(mostly bad) saying "no" at times has got me a lot better paycheck.

As for Tornadoes, at least I'll die quick. But I park it if it looks scary. Did that the other week in Oklahoma for Golf-Ball-sized hail and predicted twisters. Matt didn't have a problem with that. Just wasn't going to drive in a situation where it was LIKELY that I'd lose a windshield. 2 hours later, back on the road.

 

Another week, another nail in a tire. I am glad Magnum uses that auto inflate system on their trailers. It's a lot easier than dragging out my air hose to get me inflated enough to get me to a tire shop...and it beats sitting there waiting on road service.

 

Alright guys, the sweet southern biscuit down near Charlotte at the fiberglass factory has some serious competition at the cheese factory in Allendale, MI.

They may be from up North but there's two of these hunnies here and neither one of them have ever been beaten by an ugly stick or even seen one!

 

Is overnight parking allowed at I-Supply in Fairborn, OH?

 

On the street in front of it come in from the southside.

 

Anyone know of Frozen Assets Cold Storage on Western Ave in Chicago has onsite parking or a nearby hide hole?

 

Always drove in for that one, you can park on the street but it's not a nice neighborhood and you will get lots of company...
