Wow spoke with a Holland driver this morning who has 24 yrs of driving experience and came over to them for something new, says they are paying him $0.39 per mile and he's sitting a lot...nice people just no miles.

Well at least he has Direct TV lol...

All I know is in 6 months and 60k I was never broke down on the side of the road. Def filter and vents fixed had a loaner once, getting a loaner for a few days sucks having to swap some of your crap over but it's not the end of the world.

I have a buddy who is a mechanic on Petes and Kenworths with the Paccars in them. He absolutely hates working on them. He said he just wants to sit down with their engineers and ask them why on a lot of things. Talking motor crap is like talking French to me, I put in the key and it starts is all I care about.

That is kinda why I was more harsh about calling the engineers a bunch of retarded neanderthals...and also why I keep bringing up the Cummins option. It's a pretty truck, but so were Prostars (when you compare them to Freightliner, Mack and Volvo), but the Maxxforce warranty cost caused Navistar to file bankruptcy, I can see Pacar going the route CAT did and just get out of the engine business if all the lawsuits come about that are pending. When I 1st got a Maxxforce, it didn't have issues but between 50-70k it got so I couldn't pass a shop without stopping for a repair, and that continued until I gave up driving International.

My company wanted to try something other than internationals, so we just got a Brand new T680 about 5-6 weeks ago to try out. It has 20k on it, and we got the recall a couple weeks ago that it will need the same done as your truck. Needless to say, the boss ordered 3 new prostars lol. At least these have a Cummins in them...and I will be getting rid of this Crapforce for one!
