It's days like these that make me wish I woulda went flatbed. Show up early, guy says that it's a 1530 appt. Come back at 1430. I show up at 1430, it's a different guy, guess it was shift change. New guy says 1530 appt, come back at 1515. I come back at 1515, plenty of open doors, but takes my name and number, says he will call when he has a door. Now it's after 1600, no call and the 14hr coach is about to turn into a punkin. If it weren't for the fact that my home load will be waiting for me at CR, I'd be upset. Right now I am hoping to have enough hours to make it out of the state.

Yeah they are by far one of our worst clients...

Honestly, I think this is not only screwing up my delivery tomorrow, but the delivery of my home load. 3 out of every 4 loads I get are this screwed up. Honestly, is Magnum getting so desperate for freight that they are the catch-all for f'd up customers?

Just take a breath, if you have a critical hometime deadline work with dispatch and try to get a relay if needed they've done it for others...

At least Magnum plans to get you home, I'm really surprised I made it home this time.
Looks like you're gonna be home for the 4th, have fun

My hometime arrival isn't the issue, it's a 1am Friday delivery appt, which means now I will have to use both Weds and Thursday's hours to deliver, then take a break before getting to go home....after 7 weeks on the road. After the last 1/2 dozen loads having to be rescheduled because of this same stuff, it is really getting old. And yes, I know this isn't Magnum's fault...still doesn't tame my savage beast.

Sure will, burning the phone lines up calling recruiters.

I never did hear from the yahoo's in the shop about getting my truck's warranty issue done on home time, so I guess it doesn't get done...but it's not my job to remind them to do their job, they're big boys

I have 3 or 4 companies on my short list, plan on calling them on hometime and make a final decision before I leave. While there, unload all but the essential stuff on the truck. That way, if it keeps up like this...it's Alpha...Mike...Foxtrot
