Never thought guards look down at us or we look down at them. To me it's a neutral thing. I check in with them, they give me info where to go. I check out. That's it.

Most of our managers were retired cops. Most of my time there they had a strict policy of never hiring any ex officer who had a record of misconduct.
Naturally we had alot of young people who were applying to the department. Some of them went on and did very well.
Once we had five guys who all went to the academy together. After about a year, one was moving up fast, already doing plainclothes assignments. Another was doing good on the job, but had to work a bunch of off duty jobs because he had bought a new car and other toys. The third was working a desk job. The forth got drunk all the time at parties and would wave his gun around. The fifth said he didn't like the political part of the job and quit.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
