But wait guys, this isn't enough to say this driver is guilty. There's a 0.0001% chance that all 4 vehicles were driving in reserve. see? stop accusing himMoon_beam and fuzzeymateo Thank this. -
You can make anyone out to be the bad guy. Perhaps his brakes failed or perhaps that van speed up, cut him off as the lane was running out and slammed on the brakes leaving him no time. Can you honestly tell me that something similar to that has not happened to you? 4 wheelers often put themselves in horrible situations. Let's see what the evidence says. -

Honestly? Yes, I can tell you that I've been driving for 20 years, 4 of which were in the Corps. I've logged somewhere near 2 million miles with no accidents and no moving violations. I see 4-wheelers do incredibly stupid things everyday and yes it pisses me off. But I drive knowing that I have a responsibility greater than most and I treat it as such. Brakes failed? Driver error, improper pretrip. I see S-heads like this guy everyday as they come up behind me and then whip out to pass at the last minute. It never ceases to amaze me how drivers will defend the same drivers that are the reason for the excessive rules and regulations in our industry. Drivers like this and the companies that hire them indirectly bring down your wages because of their irresponsible practices. When this goes to court I'd be willing to bet that this a-hole ends-up in the can for life.Dave_in_AZ and bzinger Thank this. -
We are not taking bets, we are not discussing odds. You want this guy burned with literally no evidence. There was a crash, it involved a big truck and it was in a construction zone. We know nothing else. If that was you, and you knew your were innocent. How would you feel?
Again, just to be ultra clear, I am not defending any bad drivers. I am defending the NEED for proof and nothing else.osokusmc Thanks this. -
Also, brakes can fail no matter how well you do a pre-trip. There are a multitude of reasons this could occur. But this is a rabbit hole.
