I'll be heading out in a few days for my CDL training. My trainer has no fridge or cooler. So im guessing he eats out alot. Im trying to eat on a budget since i wont be getting paid till i have my CDL. What are some of you all's go to's as far as semi healthy food. Ill probably be training for a few weeks.

Peanut butter sandwiches for the win.
Just add hot water soups or oatmeal.
Box of cereal bowl and spoon, buy small milk as you need it.
Buy your cases of pop or water or beer before you go. Save a lot of money there.

Lol point being whatever it is buy it by the case at Costco or walmart, everything in the truck stop costs much more. You will likely cave later in your career and pay the higher price for the convenience. Most of us come in with great intentions but in the end the truck stop gets at least a piece of our money.

I always buy my trainee food if they didn't bring any or can't afford to. Usually I share what I have in the truck and show them how i make meals.

Amazing in an industry begging for drivers and crying about a drivers shortage these cheap sobs can't feed a driver in training ...my sympathy for megas just sank to a new low .
