What does Prime check BEFORE you're invited to orientation?

You already told the recruiter you got a speeding ticket... "I told one of the recruiters about my speeding ticket and he asked if it was 15 over the speed limit. I said no but I honestly don't remember. What if it was? Is that enough to send me home?"
Curious if it was an out of state ticket that you got....if it was than I believe it's your responsibility to report it to your home state.
Regardless, calling your Ins Co and finding out if they have record of it is free and would give you a little more peace of mind if you decide to conceal it from now on.

 

Your state is not reciprocity...that's exactly what I was thinking it was. Next question is did you get that ticket while you held a CDL? Here's why I ask...

"States must be connected to the Commercial Driver's License Information System (CDLIS) and the National Driver Register (NDR) in order to exchange information about CDL drivers, traffic convictions, and disqualifications. A State must use both the CDLIS and NDR to check a driver's record, and the CDLIS to make certain that the applicant does not already have a CDL or is disqualified. The State shall notify the operator of the CDLIS of the issuance, transfer, renewal, or upgrade of a license within the 10-day period beginning on the date of license issuance. Members of the enforcement community seeking access to CDLIS data should visit the FMCSA Technical Support Web site. Carriers needing CDLIS data should seek a commercial company that provides a clearinghouse service for this information, or contact the driver's State of licensure."

And you are right about it now not being the CDL holders responsibility to report it..The law was just recently changed...

"That cdl question was asking if they could take away my cdl for a previous ticket after I've already completed the program and passed the cdl test." Ah, okay..the answer is no they can't take it away. With a CDL however a 15mph or more is considered a serious violation and two of those within 3yrs is a 60 day timeout.

Read the FMCSA link I gave you, specifically the disqualifications section..
Also I won't advocate concealing the ticket as I wonder once you do receive your CDL if it would show up. I'd also try and contact the ticketing state to find out if they have record of the amount you went over the limit..Another way could be if you remember what the ticket cost you you may be able to get an idea as some charge it progressively..
You really need to find out beforehand rather than risk being sent home..

 

I have a problem myself. I just got my own authority and I have to have an employee file on myself. That includes me sending out letters to the other companies I worked for. They have to tell me that I never failed a drug test. I know that I haven't but I am afraid if I see my DAC report, I will have to fire myself.
