    i do and here's why:

    1) doing 1 mph more over 11 hours, I can travel 11 more miles/ day.

    2) 11 more miles/ day puts me closer to home.

    3) realistically, the person you are passing is doing 3 or more mph less than you, so 33 or more miles closer to home.

And that's why I snail drag race with other company drivers.

    Friday and Dominick253 Thank this.

Nope, if I look ahead and see I'm only a #### hair faster than a truck ahead of me,,,,,, I knock the cruise control down and never get near them.
If a truck 2 or 3 mph faster tries to pass me, I'll slow down and let them by quicker.
    ,
But if a ####### 1 mph faster tries, hes gonna earn it, because I'm not slowing down

It's just a stressful way to drive. The only time I pass is on a hill. Power is not important cause ya'll kick it into mexican overdrive and coast on by. Oh, you thought I was talking about pulling a grade.

It depends. If it's flat road, I'll back off. If there are hills and I can get an advantage up or down by a few mph I will take it. But I don't like riding beside another truck any longer than I have to.

    ***Princess Passer Alert*** WHOOP WHOOOP!!!

I hate guys like that who feel they want and need and are entitled to be in front of the pack no matter what. They jump out in the passing lane and cannot pass for 12 fricken miles. Well then they look over at the guy they are passing and expect the poor guy to slow down for their Princess Right of Way. What about that guy wanting to get home? OH no you dint! Princess Passer has more rights to get home than the lowly guy driving 61.5 miles per hour compared to Princess Passer's elite speed machine of 62 whole miles per hour.

I don't know how y'all do it. I have a hard enough time trying to get up the gumption to pass someone running 5 under the speed limit, and my truck is not governed. On the big road, yeah, it's no problem, but on the 2-lanes we normally run, with hills, it can get hairy sometimes.
