I 90 through there is one of if not the most heavily traveled lanes for Magnum. Hometime for you will be a breeze and you can likely get the occasional 10 hour break at home just passing through.
For anybody considering Magnum, pay and in your case tuition reimbursement are no doubt important. For me personally, several other things were also very important.
Late model trucks and trailers.
APU and inverter
No driver facing cameras.
No fuel routing. We fuel at Pilot/Flying J only with preference given to fueling at a terminal when possible, but nobody is messaging you out on the road where to stop at or how much fuel to get.
Pick your own route. As long as you aren't going from Fargo to Dallas via Atlanta, the company doesn't care which route you take to get there.
No micromanagment. You are trusted to pick up and deliver on time and they leave you alone to do it.
The biggest downside in my opinion, our trucks are slow. It's annoying but not a deal breaker and I'm adapting having come from a company where I was spoiled with a 72 mph governor. Any company you would sign on with as a rookie will likely have trucks as slow or slower than ours anyway.

Magnum is an awesome place for low time drivers, and depending on your earning requirements it can be a great place for long term employment. If you are a self starter and someone who wants to have some level of control over your routes, then this could be the place for you.
Highly experienced drivers can find better deals at large companies like Walmart, Ashley or others that drive their own freight, but compared to other companies who hire new to low time drivers we stand out.
And you'll get to work with drivers like @Xeres63 who are a blast to get to know and work with... -
Beware of @WalterSobchak. He will pillage and molest your truck. Definitely don't leave him around it unsupervised!Xeres63 Thanks this. -

And beware of Winnyf1 because he will amaze you with vast knowledge on almost EVERY subject imaginable. If you have a ???? just ask Winnyf1...he's the man and on the off (and I do mean off chance) he doesn't have you covered NCMICKEY will come to the rescue.
Winnyf1, RickyDickyDo and Pigbacon Thank this. -
