Uber or taxi

 

Speaking of breaking out of a shell, I can proudly say I stepped out of my box tonight.

I found a nice Italian restaurant close to me and Ubered over. I would usually do the "safe" thing for me and just eat beef or lasagna.

I didn't do that tonight. I stepped out of the box and tried something different. I cant give you my opinion of how great it is because it is the first time I've ever tried it.

All I can do is tell you that I enjoyed it and it was something very different for me.

Tonight's victim; The Olive Tree, Auburn, MD.


I have never eaten crab in my life! I decided Maryland was a good place to start.

Crab Wontons

They came with what was described as a chili sauce. Tasted like sweet & sour sauce to me. Ate them dry pretty tasty. Good pieces of crab in them.

That broke the ice. Next the meal:

First to arrive was salad and breadsticks


It was another first for me bc they didn't ask what type of dressing I wanted, which would have been the same old "Ranch."

Then the entree arrived. Maryland Crab Cake with Roasted Potatoes. (choice of sides is yours to make.)

The cake was not skimpy on crab either. Once I dug into it, it was everywhere!


Overall, I experienced something different, and good.

The Olive Tree has a nice appearance and is warm and inviting. It has a bar area with tvs surrounding the room. They put the Ravens game on while I was there.

Good place to spend time and money guys, when you're in town!
