I just had a Knight driver, maybe .02 mph pass me, then he slowed me down to 50, then about 5 miles later he slowed to 52, I grabbed the left lane and he sped up.
I took the next exit and called Knight,
I can always upload the dashcam footage.
Do you pass trucks governed 1mph less than you?

Had a clown the other day on 80 in PA. I am governed at 68 and was running empty West Bound. Empty Flat bed was coming up the get on ramp from the Pilot in Drums.
I grabbed the left lane and he was accelerating on his way. He must have been governed at 68 too because about the time he hit 68, his cab was about where my tandems were, and we stayed that way for about 6 miles until we caught up to a slower truck and he had to back off.
If I had been at his tandems, I would have dropped behind him and got in line, but I would have had to slow way down to let him get passed just to get behind him, and with the line of four wheelers behind me, I figured while I was doing that, when one of them saw break lights they would have grabbed the right lane too to get around me. Slowing down, and once the first one went, well Monkey see Monkey do. -
That's a JB Hunt trick.

Yeah, I agree 100%. I'm in an ungoverned truck. Normally if I merge onto the freeway I don't accelerate to speed until AFTER the trucker that has had the common courtesy to move over for me has had a chance to pass and get back over. I don't care if it is a Prime truck or not.

i was cruising along in my bucket of slow the other day and this Knight truck took about 6 minutes to pass me. We were in the hills and traffic was backed up behind him.
If I had not been on an incline almost everytime he got close i could have backed off and let the fool go by.
idk why he bothered trying in that situation. flat ground minus the traffic sure why not. i've found that JB Hunt guys do the same dumb stufftucker Thanks this. -
I had a truck try blowing my doors off in a 50 mph zone through town. I saw him coming up fast behind me, but unfortunately for him the speed limit went up before he could complete the pass and close the door, and I really don't think he noticed the state trooper sitting back there in town (now hard on the gas catching up)...so, I just kinda hung there 6" off his ICC bumper. He cut over, and I eased on the brakes and moved over across the fog line (really hamming it up for the cop closing quickly behind us), and about 1/8 of a mile later, he got lit up and I got a good laugh.
Some of us get bored from time to time, and find it amusing to shine a spotlight on your behavior when we get the right audience. We also grow tired of your BS, passing us in town when you refuse to drive the speed limit only for us to have to find a place to pass you again on the other side of town when you can't drive the speed limit. Just because you can't run the speed limit on the interstate doesn't mean you don't have to obey the speed limits in town, work zones, or school zones.peterd, Friday, RustyChops41 and 6 others Thank this. -
My goodness, so much truth to this. I could go on and on.Lepton1 Thanks this.

This can also be expected out of anyone in a Prius.
Don't count on it. Slower is safer, and thus better. The reason for it is irrelevant. Just ask any knucklehead in any company's "safety" department.
pattyj Thanks this.
