I think they require a minimum of class b. I think straight trucks have air brakes.

I know that they require 1 year class a cdl in the past 3 yrs. Their line haul iso overnight runs and make averaging about 65-70 starting out. Their hourly p&do guys start about 20+/HR and it's time and a half after 40. They have 3 company owned resorts (California, Tennessee and florida) that you can stay at for cheap as an employee insentive. I looked into them when I was looking and decided to go with Saia instead. This info was from what was provided to me last week.

I didn't think R&L paid time and a half for their P&D drivers.

Hmmmm....not sure. I could be confusing them with OD.

Old Dominion might, but R&L certainly does not.

Saia pays time and a half after 40, figured R & L being larger than them would at least do that.

I do think R&L's pay rate is slightly higher to compensate for the lack of time and a half pay. Not sure what they pay for benefits though.

Also heard that their linehaul is paid by the trip. Maybe someone can substantiate that also?

So did SAIA change their policy? I had always heard they pay OT after 45 hrs.
