    I would of slowed down.

If another vehicle would of crested that hill super trucker would of side swiped you getting over sending you into the trees.

Super trucker would of did less time in jail and slept easier knowing you died then having a head on collision with a family.

Experience driver means among many things to anticipate, expect, predict others poor driving and making adjustments to keep safe. Otherwise known as keeping an out.

Super Trucker was most wrong but you did nothing to make the situation safer and its why you get the "rough crowd".

If anything be selfish, self preservation keep yourself alive.

Scotty, I hope I'm never around you on the road. You seem to always find yourself in these situations. I'm thinking you have a black cloud around you....

But I wonder too, if all these videos of everyone else doing something dumb indicates that maybe the person posting such videos is, indeed, the problem?

And I'm not attacking you by saying that, but I wonder how you find yourself in such situations all the time.

You can tell that the way he drives is almost to provoke other motorist wether it be a car or big truck to do something in reaction to his driving so he can have "footage"....

If you notice on this video his distance from the car in front of him keeps getting larger and larger and I would put money on it the step deck driver was behind him trying to merge in and scottie was looking in his mirror at the guy hence deciding he was going to keep leaving more space in front of him hoping the step deck would do just what he did so he can post another "truck being bad video"

If the stepdeck had not squeezed into my space you can see I would have closed the gap on the car with the brake lights.

I did nothing wrong here. The stepdeck dude was clearly running the shoulder and if you look in the spot mirror he was running pretty fast, faster than the stop and go traffic average. He should lose his CDL completely.

We were rolling and we were moving but when he wedged in there and caused me to dead stop, that causes traffic to dead stop behind me 5 miles back. That is very rude me me me behavior.

I cannot imagine this guy's safety director watching this video would say "yeah when you see another truck driving super safely, just run the shoulder and get around that safe guy, he's gonna get someone killed by being too safe"

    Ooops Thanks this.

The comments to your thread pretty much sum-up the state of today's trucking industry. A bunch of CDL holding fools with little regard for safety and a "me first" mentality. Many of them are the same culprits who defend every so called "accident" posted on this site. Pathetic if you ask me, but I've only got roughly 2 million crash-free miles with no moving violations ever. I guess I must be doing it wrong.
